Money for deposit

We are currently saving up for a deposit for our first house. My boyfriend starts with a new company in September after finishing uni. This company offer a 'relcation/start up allowance package' They will give him a lump sum of interest & tax free cash which he pays off each month over 3/4 years.
My question is - would we be allowed to use this as part of our deposit or will it be seen as a loan and therefore not allowed?
We won't take it if we can't use it as a deposit so any advice would be great!
Thanks in advance.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth.
If it is an Interest Free relocation loan and you need a Fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, sofa, bed etc
Cash in hand plus " Which" for best buys and Internet for best prices (Pricerunner) means good quality items which will last for years.0 -
You could also use the money to pay for the legals, stamp duty, moving costs, searches etc and save the deposit yourselves.0
