Hi all,

We are due to get married 28th March 2015 and we are currently in the process of sending out our invites. We are having our aunties as witnesses and I wanted to ask them with a card enclosed in their invitations. However I am not very creative and cannot think of a poem to ask them, I have tried googling but there is nothing :(

Hoping someone is extra creative and can help me!

Thanks

Claire

Are you sending out save the dates or invitations? It's very early to be sending invitations.

I have done a quick search and found this - hope it helps.

How do you know they'll be your witnesses if you haven't asked them yet?

Is there any reason why you can't speak to them directly and ask them?

Why can't you ask them face to face?

  • Why does it have to be a poem? Personally I'd write a note - or ideally speak to them in person or over the phone - saying something like "We would love you to be our witnesses" but whilst making it clear there is no pressure on them to do so. It might not be the most flowery way to do it, but it'll be a lot more personal if it comes directly from you.
