Hi My parnter is just about to be made bankrupt he has debt that happened over 4 years ago through a marriage break up and consequently his business going down the tubes he fled the country and when he returned late last year we met and now we want to make a lives for ourselves he has revealed he is deep in debt.. now they are not really chasing him but after doing a credit check they reared there ugly heads... well the tax man is chasing him... a couple of questions
1) when they freeze his account to do the bankruptcy what happens to his wages as we need the money to pay for bills and stuff (we are renting not owning)
2) will there ever be a time when he can get a mortgage without paying enormous amounts?
Thanks

There is a sticky on the front page on Banks who will open accounts for BR's. The jury is out weather to open the account before or after you go BR. We have opened one in anticipation of going BR.
