Lidl fillet steak
Can anyone advise me re. the pricing of the fillet steak this weekend at Lidl?
There was a big sign over the meat counter showing £5.79. I picked up a pack and continued my shopping. Didn't realise until I got home that I was actually charged £8.99.
The only explanation is that it was £5.79 for a certain weight, but the till receipt didn't show a weight (unlike bananas etc or even chicken which is priced per kilo). Is it a computer error?

This has happened to me many times in the past at Lidl. I've got shirty with the manager before now though not for a couple of years. (It does no good)
You have to make absolutely sure that what's on the sign is the same item as what you have in your hand. Check weight and wording. Its very tricky.
Always check your till receipt before leaving the store. Also look out for items scanned twice when you only bought one. Thats happened many times to me (but also in Tesco)0 -
Lidl is very cheap but you have to be mindful of their tricks.0
