I am in need of a CV writing service to revamp my current CV, write me a cover letter and set up a LinkedIn profile for me.
Can any of you give me some recommendations to any companies you may have used pls?
Any one heard/used CV Lizard?

CV lizard seems to have generally positive reviews, although is there a particular reason you couldn't do it yourself? Maybe get a family member or friend to help you?
I would hate to see you shelling out money unnecessarily, from what I gather, even just a consultation with these guys costs about £10 before they even do anything. There are often career centres that will do this sort of thing for free if you are really struggling. Ask at your local jobcentre."The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."0 -
I agree, using a paid service is not great. My advice (from shortlisting candidates) is as follows:
Your CV should contain the following, and my preference is in this order (I'm sure others will tell me differently:
Name \ Address details
Education (Including school, and other colleges \ universities \ courses you've attended - EVEN if they do not seem relevant to the role
Brief work history - by this I tend to keep it to the last five years, but always have a full CV ready if anyone needs it. Your work history should include the key points of what you do day to day and also any projects etc/ that you've undertaken.
I favour the use of bullet points for this:
* Do system checks each morning to ensure integrity of Server estate
* File previous days accounts
* Part of project team for the implementation of a new coffee machine
I would seriously hesitate to use a paid service and think your citizens advice or job centre would be a perfect choice to start with
Best of Luck!0
