Hi
I have been trying to find a recipe that I used to use for a self saucing chocolate pudding. I think it was called easy chocolate pudding. I seem to have list the link and I thought I would have an easy job finding it in the recipe collection.
Where is that wonderful thread gone. It had so many useful tips and recipes. If it gas been removed does anyone still have the recipe for the chocolate pud. I think I first came across it on here about 4 years ago.

I think it is within the grocery challenge thread at the top of the page.

Ohh thanks Linda, much appreciated. Seems the chocolate pud isn't there. It was one of those recipes that after you had mixed the ingredients you poured in water and then baked and the water made this delicious almost fudgey topping at the bottom of the pudding bowl.0

Mudgekin - is this the one you are after. If so its in Squeakys Old Style Recipe Collection.
First find a cup that holds 8 fl oz of liquid(a US cup measure)
Grease a shallow baking dish - about 9'' by 13''
Sift together
1 cup plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
⅔ cup sugar
2 tbsp cocoa
add
½ cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter or marge
1 tsp vanilla extract(optional)
Mix until just smooth, then spoon into the baking dish.
Mix together
4 tbsp cocoa
1 cup soft brown sugar(light or dark)
Sprinkle over batter in dish.
Pour over all 1 ½ cups of just-boiled water - DO NOT STIR
Bake for 40 mins at 180c
Serve warm with whipped cream......yummmy
When it's cooked there will be a thick fudgy sauce a the bottom of the pudding and a cakey bit on top. It's nice with some instant coffee(about a dessert spoon) added to the cocoa and sugar bit.

Thanks a lot Billie Jo, that is exactly the recipe I was looking for. I just couldn't find it for the life of me. Put it down to old age :rotfl:0
