Question about Instant Wins & Prize Draws

Options
Hi. I've very recently started comping. I've been doing ITV competitions and some click to wins. I was looking at the 'Pick Me Up' website and noticed it had instant wins and prize draws. I was just wondering if these were ok to do, or if I'm better off avoiding them. I don't want to get bombarded with sales calls etc. Thanks

Hi,if you mean these prizedraws: http://comps.pickmeupmagazine.co.uk/prizedraws

I would say that they are fine to enter. They do get posted to MSE eg: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4985658

    Re Instant wins eg: http://comps.pickmeupmagazine.co.uk/instantwins.php

the general view on here is that the odds are stacked very much against winning.

Dig in if you wish of course.Personally I never enter them.
I just prefer the usual links on the main board.

No doubt there are some winners in I Won though.

A great many of us on here are regular entrants to the magazine daily prize draws found here and including Pick Me Up

I try to enter all the magazines every day if I can although I don't always have time. I tick NO to any offers that come up (although I've found since installing ad blocker that I rarely see any) so I definitely don't get bombarded with spam or sales calls!!

As for the instant wins, I've never heard of anyone winning on them - or extremely rarely in any case. So I don't bother doing them. I reckon the odds are millions to one on some of them!

A third type of dailies are the "click to wins" which are also listed on the above thread. These are also fine if you have the time. I've pretty much given up on them the past month or so as I just don't have the spare time to wade through the increasingly long list, but if you've got time on your side then fill your boots!!!

    hi, I echo cagsd's post :)

the daily pick me up & other mag dailies are fine to enter,
I use adblocker as well as it certainly speeds your entry rates up,
& very rarely get any spam/sales calls etc,
there's been lots of winners in IWIWIW for the mag dailies & i'd recommend entering them as I've had lots of lovely wins from them as well :)
I wouldn't recommend the instant wins,
personally I avoid them & just concentrate on the prize draws,
as for the yes/no questions that sometimes pop up on them compsalex has a wonderful thread here that works fab that again helps speed up the entries & saves you getting any spam/etc..

Using Roboform to fill in "No Thanks" boxes in Dailies

good luck & hope to see you posting in IWIW soon from them
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly. k2u58ioz4c8e.png

  • The roboform looks brilliant, thanks for sharing it. It's also encouraging to hear about other people's wins. Yea i'll certainly let you know of any wins in IWIW
