I think it is a DMP I need, so have spent all afternoon calculating, plotting and planning. I can already see how I got in this mess. I have a big pay out month and I had no thought to how it was going to be covered I would of just used credit and got in deeper. Every month I write out a budget but obviously do not let it stop me. It is going to be an absolute challenge. I am a little bit excited though?????? Anyway I have to smile looks like my nightly wine is out of the window so I expect to be 2 sizes smaller by xmas :j:T

Just spotted this... a note of caution from me... when you say 'nightly wine' you mean a glass of wine a night rather than a bottle, right? Because if it was a bottle of wine a night it could potentially be dangerous to just "stop" right away without tapering down.
Sorry to be a nag and an old worrier but I had a friend who decided to just stop drinking after a relatively modest, but nightly use of alcohol for many years and he very nearly died as a result of a seizure. Just a thought!Debt free, moved, got new stuff for the new flat - got everything I wanted and need - now just saving.0 -

I'm in the same boat as you. DMP is being set up after years of worry. Couldn't have done it without the lovely peeps on this board and SC.
Today I went to the supermarket and ignored the goody aisle completely. Normally I would come out with a trolley full of things I couldn't afford in reality. Today I came out with a loaf of bread and some cat litter :rotfl:
I'm actually looking forward to my new frugal lifestyle and finally I can sleep at night.LBM 2 June 20140 -
Thank you everyone, and thanks Trajal l its not quite a bottle a night but definately more than I should have and Iam going to wean myself off. I think when the stress goes the wine consumption will decrease! :beer:0
