E3 2014 - What do you hope is announced?

Options
E3 2014 is around the corner when the gaming and console giants show off new games and make big announcements. This is the first E3 since the PS4 and Xbox one have been released so hopefully some great games will be announced. What do you think or hope will be announced?

Don't care about consoles but hope they announce that the Oculus Rift DK2 orders have been shipped :o

New Star Wars games, Bethesda's next Elder Scrolls game... Major changes to Fifa 15, needs a revamp.

Something that makes the PS4 and/or Xbox One actually worth buying would be nice.

Agreed, a significant price cut and free online play and support for higher than 1080P (native and output) and some media support and cheaper game RRPs and removal of the DRM would make either of them well worth buying.

I don't think gamers really care about E3, do they? Bullshots of games that aren't out for months and may well be terrible when they're released or even cancelled altogether. Good for children who enjoy things like the anticipation of Christmas, but for the rest of us it's like watching a marketing program aimed at kids.

The last entertaining E3 I can remember was 2006! :D
Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?
A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.

Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?
A: We very much hope this isn't the case. But if it is, please make sure you report this, as you would any other forum user's posts, to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

I still get excited by it, even though most announcements end in disappointment. It's good binge of fresh gaming news for a week that basically shapes things for the next year, although admittedly not as much as it used to. Still, it creates a nice buzz on the net and softens the internet hate machine for a bit, or at least focuses it on something that doesn't matter too much :)

I'm personally hoping for a release date for Phantom Pain this side of Christmas (trailers are being showcased!), see just exactly how Microsoft are going to try and turn round the Xbox One & see if there's anything "new" that's going to catch my imagination. There's usually one or two out of E3 which run away with my thought process & drive me nuts so it remains to see what will happen.

Fallout 4 would be immense, but I'm not sure if Bethesda have time & resources to dedicate to it in the near future what with Elder Scrolls Online & Wolfenstein. Then again nothing surprises me with those guys any more so they'll probably be announcing it's due next month...

I'd rather have Obsidian working on it, to be fair. Fallout 3 was sorely missing the sense of humour from the other games.

And I'd rather have Obsidian working on it than spending their time putting together bullshots and trailers for E3.

Whilst no doubt all of those things would be bonuses, I was more just thinking about some actual 'next generation' games, rather than ones that are just current generation with a more few colours and effects. There's no doubt that the technology is there, but I'm honestly yet to see much evidence of it being used.
