Co op sending me threatening letters

I just got a letter off the co op about my old bank account. I entered into a DMP with stepchange a year ago after the co op cancelled my overdraft and demanded the money in full.

I have just got a letter from the co op demanding the payment in full otherwise they are taking me to court! I phoned them but as I don't know my pin (I haven't used the account in so long I don't know what it is). THey won't discuss it and told me I have to go to a branch with photo ID (I have none) to be able to discuss the matter.

Do I speak to step change? Or are the co op just going to send me a court summons? I've made the necessary steps to pay it back surely this is just a waste of their money

They wont go to court - read the letter again; does it say IF/MAY/COULD etc?

If you don't know your pin and can't go to a branch with photo ID, then WRITE to them.

Banks don't send court summons, courts do, read the letter again, does it say, we might, we could or we may, take action through the courts ? its a standard letter you have received, my suggestion, do as advised above and write to them, explain your situation, that you are in a DMP, that should suffice.

Presumably they are being paid each month?

Write to them, tell them you are a DMP with stepchange and they should talk to stepchange if they have any issues with the amount they are receiving.
