Would it help if I could provide information from my new employer to the company I wish to finance from.

Because I can provide evidence that my new employer is given me a cash sum to procure a car. The increase in my salary will also help.

Unlikely to improve things, as most lenders assume that new jobs have a probationary period and so likely to be considered higher risk. And with the default on your file you will likely be considered higher risk.

When you lease a car you pay a fixed monthly rental, which you could pay out of your monthly car allowance and you never own the car.

They usually have mileage limits or a premium to pay for excess miles so its definitely worth taking in to consideration how many miles you are likely to travel when comparing prices.

Car lease deals typically are for 2 or 3 years.

You do have to make a down payment at the start but its not a huge amount (perhaps equivalent to 3 or 6 monthly payments).
