There is some controversy regarding Cesar's methods but they do show some ways of teaching your dog that you are the leader. These include: always feeding yourself and your family first and making your dog wait to be fed after you (I even feed our cat before our dog); teaching your dog to sit and wait until you tell him he can have his food; making your dog wait to be the last one to leave or enter the house; not letting your dog walk ahead of you.

I'd also highly recommend going to a dog training class.

Finally, I'm sure you know that Labradors are highly intelligent, strong dogs with plenty of stamina so they need a LOT (at least 2 hours) of exercise, training and other mental stimulation every day! If you are struggling with this then I'd certainly get professional help or even consider rehoming him with an experienced dog owner while he's still young.

I agree we watched loads of his tv shows can not get our little princess :mad: to walk behind me she is a puller :eek: but not in a dominant way just desperate to get to a field to be let off
Also when they are pups that "bite" you do with your fingers as their mothers would do to tell them off works or at least it did with ours.

thanks, I'll have a look. EDIT - found it. It's easy to guess their codes now.
Then I'm off to our new office - measuring up and taking photos of the carpet:p the cheeky boogers want us to replace the carpet if/when we leave our tenancy, yet they refuse to give us a new one. So I'm taking photographic evidence of the state of it - what joy! :rotfl: Later gators x
