That said, I also have friends that have settled there, and they have a wonderful life. They're very happy, with great jobs and a beautiful house. They have 2 kids now, that I've never met but it's so much easier to keep in touch now, compared to years ago. He must be really happy there if he wants to settle there.

You need to save your pennies for a visit if he does end up staying
