    Re the new car "debate"

    I bought a 9 year old volvo 9 years ago incl 6 Months Tax (£100) for £800, apart from tyres, brakes etc which no warranty will cover, I've never spent a penny on it!:D

    so it cost me less than £100 a year...!!;)

    Never been one to keep up with the Joneses!!:cool:

    I can do better than that, bought a p reg honda civic when i passed my test in 2007, for £500 6 months tax, half tank petrol, didnt spend much apart from wear and tear, when some doughnut wrote it off for me in 2012 i got £700 from insurance:rotfl::rotfl: was a brill car had over 150,000 on clock and started 1st time every time:D

    In 1962 my grandfather bought a Ferrari 250 GTO for £6000.

    I have since inherited it.

    Today, it is valued at £10 million +
