I had that "knock" a few months ago. My neighbour 3 or 4 doors up had problems so they called the drain people. My house is end of line and both the drains in my front garden were blocked. With nappies and wet wipes. Well seeing as I dont have children, none of those were applicable to me. The people in the flats at the other end of the line had been flushing nappies, wet wipes and seemingly fat from roast dinners, deep fat fryers etc down the toilet

Its amazing the things people do QOC because I am on my own I try so hard to avoid things like this happening even down to not using quilted loo roll but unfortunatley sometimes things are beyond your control:(I think I am going to mow the lawns and try and put myself in a better place :)

I have just got back from the eye clinic myself.Good and bad news. The eye drops seem to be working for the glaucoma but eyes are still deteriorating because I have got cataracts. If they are still getting worse at my next appointment they will book me in for surgery.I'm only just within the legal limit for driving in my right eye.

:eek: i am so shocked that people would flush nappys no wonder people have problems and the fat surely they know they are asking for trouble or do they just not care, :(

They just dont care. Its council flats and they seem to think that as they havent got to pay for it, they can block it up as much as they want

Hope you get things sorted quickly Nanny. A bit of time in the garden is always a good stress reliever :)

rhosynbach, I had to have a little giggle at your son soaking the little brat :D
We are quite old fashioned I suppose in our parenting. DH is worse than me for being strict. I pick my battles and try reasoning a bit more but he will never give in :rotfl:
Did cause a few issues whilst we were away with the mother and MIL last week as MIL said he was too hard on them.
On the plus side we can happily take them anywhere and they are complimented on their behaviour and manners :)

Morning all. didn't get chance to catch up yesterday, i just lurked... and saw dipdap too :T

I saw your post Logie (and the 50 hour week!), good nothing showed up on your barium swallow. Try to rest up where possible though.. Isn't it coming up to little H's 2nd birthday in July?

I am resting up at the moment :D Decided to put off my big Ts trip until after nap time as small one getting grumpy. Not worth the hassle. We had a little walk to Spar instead to wear him out properly and I'll put him down in a minute. Then I'll have chance to plan my shop better whilst he sleeps :)
You're right, H is two next month  Where has that time gone? It doesn't seem like 5 minutes ago we were having sweepstakes on here over when he and tigercub would arrive.

poor you, hopefully it will get sorted quickly without to much mess and smell:eek:

we had a bad start to the day 20 odd sheep in the garden first thing, i ripped my shirt while getting them out, then got bitten by a horse fly and it has swollen up,
just to finish up i was watering the garden , my neighbours family are visiting they have a 10 year old and dont beleive in saying no they explain things to him but they thing he should make his own choices and express himself they were walking to the beach and he climbed on my fence and sat there braking my plants, they told him i like the plants and he was upsetting me by braking them, he laughed and carried on they then walked away and left him, said he would get bored and stop:mad::mad:
i told him i needed to water the plants there and he would get wet he said you wont dare get me wet, ds3 came out and told me not to it would cause trouble, the kid started laughing and using bad language towards me, so ds3 took the hose and soaked him through and said no one talks to my mum like that :D :rotfl::rotfl:
he screamed and run of down the road now waiting for the parents to come and complain.:o:o

How rude of the parents to let him behave like that while at someone else house, even if they let him get away with it at home.

    Good on your ds though.

Plus BzzAgent have a new campaign for that store which I got into, so they've sent me a whole batch of very useful MOC :T
    £3 off fruit and veg
    £5 off homeware
    £3 off food to go
    £3 off meat and fish
    £3 off beauty
For each coupon only have to spend the voucher value :j

i had great fun doing that. Only trouble is meat counter is very expensive.

Sparkly fee did you pay 2 for £3 on your receipt?

If so this might be a really good glitch, getting back about £2.43 on a £3 spend if it works!

Hi, sorry, had to disappear for a bit there. No, unfortunately only one was in the 2 for 3.00 offer. Was hoping for a glitch there but no :o
