Change is always unsettling and usually even more so for someone on the autistic spectrum so the first thing to do is try not to panic. It sounds as if you feel that by changing your working hours then you will have to change everything else in your life too and I can understand that is very difficult for you. try to remember that sometimes, once we have got used to a set of changes, they can actually work out to be better than we'd feared. Sometimes, we even find that once the dust settles we prefer the new ways.

You were right Nenen :) I forgot to mention yesterday that I am actually happier with the lunchtime change after all the fuss I made :o Oh I'm not happy about having to set off earlier for work and drive in busier traffic but it is nice being able to take half an hour for lunch rather than just eat at my desk whilst carrying on working. It gives me time to catch up on my reading as well and it's nice being able to look forward to lunch after 2.5 hours and then after lunch I only have 2.5 hours to work before I can go home :)

Things are not perfect so I'm still looking to change jobs but at least my job is bearable for now :)
