Hiya:hello:. The wombles I have now are a big of a ragbag, so not sure what if anything they'll give. Someone putting expensive £12 wine with some strawberries:( and grapes:(:(... and, it turns out, as they bought lots of different items, of stationery:mad:, with them they get not enough items anyway. _pale_ Can't resist a look at whether the £12 wine would have been a lot cheaper elsewhere. However, no £12 white wine on Msm, so it looks like that itself was one of the items that didn't count. If it had, it would have been very silly to use £12 wine vs N/A everywhere else:rotfl::(.
I am foregoing Friday night wombles tonight:eek: as World Cup matches on. According to the schedules, if they run exactly according to schedule:p, we have all of a 20 minute break away from our fix of World Cup programming between ITV at 7.10 and BBC ONE at 7.30pm, and then another 25 minutes:eek: of no World Cup programming later on. Don't know how I'll cope.
Righto, getting back to the game - but just had the adverts (painting a nice idealistic picture ahhhhh...:D:D:() and then my ears popped up - an ad for Sainsbugs came on, wasn't paying attention to it, then I heard the words "...that's cheaper than Asda". On hearing those magic words, I immediately thought: "Is it?:D Oh, therefore off to buy it in Asda as, if it's cheaper in Sainsbugs, therefore 10% cheaper than that via the price guarantee":T. So thanks to Sainsbugs - advertising for Asda! (I like it when Sainsbugs is cheaper on my Asda shopping:D.) Didn't pay any notice to what the product was - will need to catch up with it again in about 45 minutes on plus 1. Later had another Sains. ad (so that's where the money is going if we bought in Sains?) - McV Choc Digestives £1 in Sains - "that's cheaper than Morrisons!". But...is it cheaper than Asda or Tesco? (Ah, you see, there's the killer question:rotfl::rotfl:.) If not, then buy in Sains on right comp. Or, if it's cheaper in T, actually buy in A on Avs T.
That one pound is very very dear IMO though - much more expensive than ages-old glitch on APG. And the twinpack (albeit 32g less per pack:p) was £1.50 in Sains, so would still have been cheaper per pack than the expensive £1 on the single one now is. Until the twinpack just went up in price. I think, overall, just avoid all this and forget about either of them to be frank...:D.0 -
