Thanks for that, have heard a few different reports about it working, then stop working after a few months.

I am so annoyed at docs really, he suffers with migraines alot and misses school every 3 - 4 months for a few days because they come so bad, and yet the docs cant do anything or give him anything for that either due to his age, and now possibility of having IBS, has all the symptoms and again, cant do anything due to his age, the poor thing has got to suffer until he turns 16, we have seen a few different docs, because I thought the first one was fobbing us off.

    Good morning

Caught this in a catch up and know its different for everyone but have you considered homeopathy.

I had HRT for years and needed to come off them and went to a GP specializing in alternative remedies. It has worked for me for years. All I can say it it balances me.
I also have an alternative to St Johns Wort for nerve damage due to surgery
The grand kids have also had remedies for different things which the GP said would take months and months to sort but the alternative worked a treat within days.

Please be kind to them....not like the examiner my ds had in his first exam of the GCSE's who forgot to turn off his mobile phone ...and it rang!

Unfortunately the rules set by the exam boards are very strict on mobile phones - especially if they go off. We always ask the whole hall once they are seated whether they have a phone on them and then they are taken to the year office for collection afterwards. It is for everyones benefit that they are not allowed phones in exams - as you can imagine it not only disturbs the whole hall but in some cases they could be used to obtain answers if they have an up to date phone which most of my pupils have.

Please try not to stand over 1 person too long (unless they're being disruptive), it used to really put me off having someone stood behind me and reading my work over my shoulder!

I have to ask, after seeing it mentioned on mock the week, do you ever play games with the other invigilators to pass the time, like Pac Man? :rotfl:

I wish! No - we have to be stood in separate parts of the hall and be very quiet. If we need to communicate with one another, it has to be in a whisper. We are also encouraged not to walk around unnecessarily as you say, it is distracting. We are certainly not permitted to read their work over their shoulder or anywhere else for that matter. The invigilators I work with are very professional and do their best to help the students through a very stressful time. I am usually assigned those with medical problems that require extra TLC! Its surprising what a few words of encouragement outside the hall will do - I had one lad who was sick several times during an exam but I managed to get him back each time to carry on. By the time he had sat 3 or 4 exams, he was over the anxiety and didnt need to leave to be sick once. So pleased for him as I have and still do suffer with anxiety and know how how debilatating it can be.
