Thanks Karlie for posting about changing t&c for tsb accounts. I also agree with Karlie about buying a new car if you want one! You got to treat yourself sometimes! We also update our car every 3 years and dd gets our car knowing its history at a good price. We then do LOADS of research going round dealers (just like going round the supermarkets) after finding price on drivethedeal. One year our local dealer matched the price and last year we found another dealer prepared to beat the price by a small margin. We always used to have old cars and found we were spending a lot of time and money on them so when we could afford new we bought. For a ford fiesta it works out at about. In depreciation terms it works out about £150 a month which I think is pretty good value if you use it every day. Just the same as having an expensive holiday each year really! Just my thoughts.
I haven't succumbed to the airwick deal but I too have lots of flies indoors and the moment and have just had to clean all the windows inside downstairs because of them. Must be the warm weather.
I agree Matty.
I have access to the motability scheme. Originally I purchased a car through the scheme but they no longer give that option.
I use the scheme and change every 3 years. The cars I have had have not even needed any parts on servicing and I think new cars are getting better all the time. For me I get the insurance and rac included and based on past cars I am saving.
My dd bought a kia new in 2010. It is the smallest one they do. She has had to pay out for tyres and a wiper blade in the 4 years she has had it. She used her dh car as px when the government were giving money to get old cars off the road. She paid around £5k to buy and until recently the sale price stayed the same. She plans on another 2 years then dh having it for work and she will buy another brand new car.
My sister buys new and usually keeps 8-10 years always buying on 0% finance.
Like everything it is down to choice. Our choice is based on reliability which as I am disabled I do not want the inconveience of breaking down or a few days in the garage as that is me housebound.
Still trying to find 3v cards. Thought about buying debenhams cards but purchase will only work if I phone debenhams plus up and buy over phone. I have checked and if I do find 3v cards the buying of giftcrads through tcb is excluded from cashback so that is that idea out of the window.
I have sent mr t a message via fb and they are seeing if they can find the cards and have sent to my local store. This would be perfect so fingers crossed.
Not raising the profile of buying these as said I needed them for a significant birthday present.
Weather has been on and off today but currently light rain. Its is warm though.
My dd Lou would like to say a big thank you to her sponsers. She managed the 10k run in 1 hour 15 minutes. The worse bit was the hill at the 9k mark.
One very proud mummy here.:D
Lou is now down in Poole Harbour for her sun holiday and the prestige van has been upgraded to a platinum with their own balcony.

I am :j:j too :rotfl:
I've put slug pellets down today though, just in case. My soil is quite sharp so I don't think they'd survive the crawl but you never know :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. My pointer was just touching the top of the H in the word high. I probably scored a little lower because I do like to read fiction sometimes as an escape from real life and I did play pretend games as a child.
I wasn't going to say anything until I get an official diagnosis but some of you will have have probably guessed anyway, it seems highly likely that I do have Asperger Syndrome. That's what all the online tests tell me. I'm sure there will be some people who want to tell me I don't have it since I don't have an official diagnosis, just as there have been in RL, which is why I tried not to reveal it until I do have a diagnosis. The problem is it's becoming harder and harder for me to hide the real me and come across in a way that people don't think I'm odd in some wayThis is due to too much stress in my life because too many things have changed and I'm struggling to deal with it all right now so I do feel that I've failed to hide my autistic traits recently. Because of this I've decided to come clean and say yes I believe I do have Asperger Syndrome because I don't want people to think I was hiding it because I'm ashamed, I'm not. I don't see Aspergers as a disability, I see it as being different. I hid my true self from people all my life because I didn't know why I was different but more recently since I found out why I was different I've hidden it because of people's reactions because I don't have a diagnosis
I have seen the doctor and currently awaiting an assessment from a psychologist who will refer me to the next stage, so I'm hoping a diagnosis will not be too far away.
Good morning everyone
