Good morning DMPers old and new :hello:

I want to scream from the roof tops that our debt is down to 3 figures! We only owe hundreds, rather than thousands, or tens of thousands or our original £82,344 which is pretty close to one hundred thousand! :D

    Can't sleep for excitement :rotfl:

We would never be in this position now if it wasn't for the help, advice, experience and support from this thread :T

    Hi Brogden

I can live with reviews - for me the default signifies the end of fees and charges, regardless of the outcome of reviews.

That's the spirit Jan :) !! Puzz has pointed out the advantage of Step Change in this area :)

er.....what/who is Gnat's Vest. I've put my thinking cap on and as usual come up empty headed:o

It is National Westminster Bank Plc Jan, trading as the Gnat's Vest! Socrates was right - philosophers are always clever :D !!

I do find this bank to be the strictest and the toughest on debtors of all the banks with which I have dealt ........:(

Which just goes to show how creditors treat us differently. I owed gnats vest over £20k, split between loan, od and cc. All accounts interest frozen and od and cc defaulted, not heard a peep from them!
Brogs, maybe they don't like your nickname for them!:rotfl:

    TTFTM :)

Fabtastic news and so well done :) I remember your name from more than three years ago when I was reading everything on the internet feeling very sick at finally acknowledging that I had a debt problem.

    Absolutely brilliant :T !!!!

Afternoon peeps, another creditor off my list! Just finished paying the second and last of the two Halifax bank accounts that went onto my DMP as they both had overdrafts.

I have gone from 14 creditors down to 9 now and it's nice to see them going:j

Still working towards being debt free by November.

    Great news

Will be time to celebrate with fireworks before you know it.

I am sure they don't like the nickname Puzz......it makes me chuckle to myself because it sounds so 'insignificant' and err.. 'grubby':rotfl:!!

The difference I think is that you are through Step Change and if they respect that then they can't be all bad :) They are not keen on oiks ringing up to offer insultingly small settlements....like me :rotfl:!!

    HHx

We have a family holiday booked for the summer but we are trying to think of something we can do as a family to celebrate before then. Possibly a really nice day out and a meal to finish it.

I couldn't have done it without you twin, you have been my constant support and encouragement :T
