DMP & Mutual Support Thread - Part 10

Hi all, I'm currently making a round of token payments. This is the first time of doing so for my Lloyds Loan. I can't make this online as the account is now over the overdraft limit. Two questions for anyone with Lloyds debt as can't find this info anywhere.
Who do I make the cheque payable to for Lloyds Loans token payments?
Does anyone have an address for the heads up letter to be sent to or should I just send to the branch?
Any advice appreciated.
The address at the top of my last letter from Lloyds Bank regarding my Loan was:
PO BOX 43
Peterlee
County Durham
SR8 2YQ
I had a similar problem this month with not being able to pay anything via internet banking because over O/D limit, so I didnt bother with the £1 token payment to the loan, just paid £1 into the overdraft.0 -
Grrr!
Really annoyed as I have just logged onto Barclaycard website and found that I have been charged a fair whack of interest, an overlimit fee and late payment fee on today's statement!
This is even though the person I spoke to in collections before Christmas acknowledged my DMP and said that my account was on hold with interest & charges frozen!
I'll be giving them a call first thing in the morning asking for this to be wiped back off!...
Edit: I also have letter from 5th Dec saying fees and interest suspended so i'll remind them of that too.

Oh dear Squirrelnuts - how very familiar this sounds. 'Yes - we have frozen interest' they say on the phone. Then a statement arrives and you realize they are still whacking up the interest and piling on the charges. We have now submitted a complaint to BC and will move on to FOS. They are very misleading, for example they told OH on the phone that one account was on 1% interest. When we checked it is actually 12% and the 1% is a monthly interest rate! What a rip off! Will let you know how we get on. Most other debts are going down but BC is barely shifting. Next step - self management. One BC employee told OH 'We are not in the business of helping people get out of debt'!
Good luck with it all.DMP since August 2011

Morning
This is why I never rely on a telephone call in isolation. Speaking on the phone can be useful but Id always insist on written information.

Good morning DMPers old and new
Great illustration of why you need to keep every single piece of communication from creditors. Get yourself a filing box from Poundland or just put some dividers in your own cardboard box and make a section for each creditor, then file every statement and every letter. Don't destroy anything until you have that magic document stating the balance is zero, then keep that and have a fantastic bonfire with the rest!

Thanks for that. Sent it there with a cheque to Lloyds Bank PLC. They can distribute it accordingly but its made to them so all good.
Sent credit card letter to both collections and some address they gave me a SAE for when they kindly sent me a DD mandate to fill in..

Good News Slothy!
Just phoned Barlcaycard this morning. They are removing the interest and charges and have also updated their system with Stepchange payment details.
Because my payment offer is above their minimum level for a payment plan and is below 1% of total balance then no further interest or charges will be applied for another 12 months :T0 -
