Friday 6th June - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :money:
Morning Thank goodness it's Friday :j Can't wait until 4pm when I can finish for the day and then have the whole weekend away from work :beer: (and next week Mon working from home & Tues on a training course so only 3 days actually at work :j:beer::j)
Anyway....
DFW things for the day:
*[STRIKE] checked banking[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]did vsp & will update sig[/STRIKE]
* all meals from stores
*[STRIKE] get fish out of freezer for dinner [/STRIKE] no need as already have something....
* update GC spends diary
* check onepoll
* take dgd to the park after work
* take old clothes to the cash for clothes place near where I am going for work
* bottle of wine & film tonight
* hang washing out
* do 1 1/2 hours on the job application. Print person spec at work
* print off character reference at work & send off host family application
* go to PO and get postal order
* pay in oh's ppi cheque
Think that's all I need to do. Have a fantastic Friday everyone x

Thanks ziggy! I'm sure it'll be fine, am with one of my team who I get on with really well this afternoon so that'll make the time fly by! Just so sad & feeling treated badly by the organisation. But am trying to just check out and do what is necessary and not let all the things that normally stress me about about that place get to me. Looking forward to finishing at 4 and going and picking up dgd
Hope you feel better soon lovely, hope you're looking after yourself! xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning everyone,
Am still off work, slept nearly all day yesterday, not bad considering I'm usually an insomniac.
Today is mostly resting but also need to:
Put more laundry out to dry
Finish off making lasagne (all meals from home, OH has taken over the packed lunches for the menfolk)
Do a shopping list for OH - he decided to just get milk yesterday but I noticed a large box of beer has also appeared....
That's about it I think. Have a good Friday x0 -

Thanks lovey, children and grandchildren brighten up the darkest days - I bet she is growing so fast, time is flying by.
I'm doing ok (I think) but I sometimes think people must be fed up of me and that I should be back to normal now - but I feel better than I have in such a long time, I have had no headaches/facial pain since Feb, I sleep properly and I can tell I have more energy every day so I suppose I ought to acknowledge that "small steps" really do work.Goodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

You kept me going during the long Easter weekend when there were very few people posting. I look forward to your posts and worry when there isn't one!
Keep taking small steps, keep posting and don't worry x0 -
