I've never used Oyster cards so I don't know if they are cheaper than the Travelcards I normally use. Same price according to the poster above.

    .

That was specifically in relation to WJ - not necessarily a universal rule. The Oyster cap is often cheaper

Im unsure how to get a oyster card. I have only used travelcards before. I will have a look online.

At a London Underground station you can buy them from the office (remember you gt the £5 back), or some places (e.g. Stanmore) let you buy them from a machine.

You can buy Oyster cards from machines at most LU served stations (In fact, all LU managed stations except Roding Valley, the ex-Silverlink stations ie, Bakerloo north of Queens Park, Kew Gardens & Gunnersbury).

Hi , Thanks for all your replies. we have decided to go from watford junction. park the car for the day for around £5.00 at the station and then get train from watford junctions and travel cards for the day for £54.25 with groupsave. Also there is 5 adults now. Not the cheapest option but i think its a easier route for the sake of £10. Again thanks for all your help.
