I had no proof and that's a lesson learnt for me. It's the first time I've had to deal with anything like this so I was clearly naive throughout it. They just told me to call the number tomorrow. If they don't visit and arrest me before Monday then this will all be sorted.

Whoever you speak to tomorrow ask for a name and make sure you keep it written somewhere.
That way you have someone to name if asked why you didn't contact the officer.

The officers mobile was off when I rang and they confirmed that he was out of the office today. I've left a message on his answer phone so he knows I have tried to contact him today.

Like I said, my main concern is them coming before Monday as I can pay it Monday if I can work over the weekend.

It wasn't a case of when and if it suited me. I get paid in cash and because of my hours I couldn't always get straight to a bank with it. They were informed each time this had to happen and we're fine with me paying double the following week. But thanks for the sarcastic helpful message.

It's not sarcasm, I was making the quite important point that it matters whether you've breached the terms or not.

If your pay is sporadic, you needed to go hungry, cold, or bored for a short while until you'd built up a buffer.

What are you posting this on, can you sell it?

This is all great with hindsight. I should have built up a bit of a buffer with payments and if I could go back I certainly would do that. I'm posting this on an old iPhone. Certainly nothing that by tomorrow would make me £465! I will have the money by Monday with work this weekend and an advance on my wages that my boss has allowed me.

When I used to work in a Magistrates Court the police executed these warrants and would do so whenever they had time between their other jobs. This meant that people could and were arrested in the middle of the night. It was your bad luck if you were arrested on a Saturday night (depending on the offenders history the warrants were issued with or without bail). If you had a without bail warrant in those circumstances you spent two nights in the cells until the court sat again on the Monday.

Now the court has to employ its own staff and I understand that it is pretty much 9-5 weekdays now, special arrangements are made to track down those difficult to contact who did not respond to letters such as that you have received.

From what you say you don't fall into that category so I wouldn't worry about this weekend too much.

But do get it dealt with first thing Monday morning otherwise you do potentially face a nightime/weekend visit.

Thanks for that. Fingers crossed that's the case and I can get it paid in full on Monday, move on and learn from this.

I think your problem is probably phoning up and saying I'm having an issue can I pay late and not getting anything in writing.
I think if you felt that you would struggle to make the payment maybe you should have tried to make alternative arrangements or pay a smaller installment?
Anyway I hope you get it sorted soon. If you can't pay it monday I suggest you get advice from one the debt charities about what to do. You may have to write to the court explaining your circumstances or you may have to fill in a form or you may have to go before court if there is a problem but you should find out what the procedure is. Hopefully though you can get the money and it will be sorted.

Dancing Fairy - it's too late to do any of that - a warrant for his arrest has been issued. If he still wants time to pay he will have to appear before the court. Even if not, he may still have to appear.

Agree it needs to be dealt with on Monday but if he writes to the court asking for time to pay, he will be arrested and brought before the court.
