Wedding gift ideas for mothers' second marriage

Hi all...I'm looking for some ideas for a wedding gift for my mum who is getting remarried in August....instead of a wedding gift list they are asking for donations to their favourite charity....however in passing I happened to ask if she would rather receive a personal gift which she would, but now I'm stumped!!!
As its a second marriage for both of them and blending of two homes they don't need anything practical.....would anyone have any ideas? My soon to be step sister has bought an over night stay in a hotel so that's already taken!!
Many thanks in advance :0)

  • Donating some amount in an charity would be best idea , as your mum also want that, but you told that you want to give some gift to your mum, so you can give her one small key ring , in which your mum name is engraved with your name. That will be the best idea and best gift.

Is your mum taking his surname?

If so a Mr Surname and Mrs Surname mug. You could even get a round tray and matching plates or something to theme it as a breakfast in bed or afternoon tea present.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

  • When i got re-married a couple of years ago my (adult) kids made me an online photo album with some of the photos people took during the day - it was a lovely gift

I was going to suggest something like this. T G Green - the company that makes the blue and white striped Cornishware - does a wedding set with personalised teapot and mugs, or you could go to a pottery painting place and decorate a couple of mugs yourself. I painted a teapot for my sister's wedding a few years ago and she absolutely loved it.
