Would you put this on the app form?

Hiya
I was off for about three weeks last year with work-related stress. My employers bein as cr*p as they are, never told HR so it was never put on my record.
Thing is, I'm applying for other jobs and its asks for your absence record - apart from this one period, my record is excellent.
So.....if they don't have record of it, would you put it on the app form? I don't have to worry about the guy giving me a reference as he knows about it and won't say anythin
Cheers

Just wondered how you are so sure that HR don't know about it? And that no new employer would ask the direct question of your referee?
Thing is, if I were your referee, I might be prepared to write you a 'free-range' reference which didn't mention the sick leave, but if sent a list of questions which directly asked, I would answer honestly.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
yes i would tell them. lying on your application is only going to lead to trouble, what if they ask your employer & somehow find out? then you'll be a liar and there is no way that they will employ you at all (as well as telling the agency if you went through one) just be honest & tell the truthnothing to see here, move along...0

ok, thanks for your replies - I'l be honest...:A
i just don't want this one period to put any employers off - i hate my job and that's why i was stressed in the 1st place and i'm trying to get out, even taking a pay cut so i'd be gutted if it affected any applications i made
thanks again :beer:Official DFW Nerd no: 563 - Proud to be dealing with my debts:j0 -

I was off work for 13 weeks with work related stress/Depression, at my interview with my current employer they asked if i had, had any sickness and I was honest with them and explained the situation, I got offered the job there and then. I think it is better to be honest.Virgin CC=£2652, Next= [STRIKE]£102.88,[/STRIKE] Very=£475.60, Natwest=£800, Sainsburys CC=£1777.02, Lloyds CC=£498.29, Lloyds Loan= £13,946.18, Car=£4000Total = [STRIKE]£26,147.23[/STRIKE] £23,849.09:eek:0
