Had our meeting with HSBC yesterday at 1000 for 2 hours and got approved at 1616 the same day. Have to say, I was a little nervous about it all.
Hope I've done the right thing following their advice.
We already have a mortgage with them with £70,900 owing with 16yr 2 months left (I'm 43 in Sept).
Was planning on a 5 yr fixed at £465/mth (currently paying £423 + £100 overpay on a variable 1.5%)
She said it would be best to carry on with the same deal of £70900 at 1.5%, and have a 2nd mortgage for the new borrowing (£24000) for 23 yrs at ?2.5% fixed for 2 yrs.
Sound ok?
Cheers
