Cheeky So and So's

Had a successful claim against the Woolwich .(they made an offer i was happy with) along with the offer was a note saying that they would pay off my closed account balance from the amount to the sum of £1700. Cheek!
They sent me a cheque. When I sat down and checked nearly all the £1700 was charges ....the question is can I claim them back?
At no time in the correspondence does it mention full and final settlement.
Any suggestions..........

  • I am not sure what you are saying but are you asking can you claim back charges that you have already won back or are these newer ones since you started the ball rolling.

I hope this is in the right place.
The W*****ch closed my account about 2 years ago the balance was minus £1700. I caimed all the charges from them and they made an offer of £5000 + but wanted to deduct the £1700 to clear the account balance. They sent a cheque to say they had done this. Now when I check the £1700 I have just paid by way of a deduction in the claim was charges........Can I claim the £1700 back now as well...
    Any help appreciated.
  • sorry, the answer is no. What the Woolwich have done is taken money they had already charged you. The balance was -1700 so that means if the claim was £5000 then the total owed to you is £3300.00 or the difference.
