You might want to review your post, it reads like a lot of ramble.

I didn't get past the first line, it's like opening a book on page 203.

    What's your question?

Probation doesn't mean anything legally so I wouldn't worry too much. It's just a tool that companies use to assess employees' initial progress.

They can still sack you for no (non-discriminatory) reason within the first two years even if you pass your probation with flying colours.
  • I don't expect anything more to be honest thanks.

I have my meeting set for payday so I guess more will be known then

I'm sorry you consider constructive feedback to be 'trolling'. As you will see, you got no proper replies to your post as no one could understand what you were asking. I'm still none the clearer!

I think my probation meeting with higher up went something along these lines (carried out whilst I was trying to work)
So how long you been here now?
    and
We are sorry we didn't tell you how stressful this job was
my kneejerk reaction was to say well I should have asked (lol!)
then interrupted as phone went (must have thought ha ha that shut her up!) and that was that
No idea whether I've passed or something more sinister is on it's way, though keep calm will manage

It just alarmed me I have never cried or sworn back (stressed maybe but I find it passes quickly that I could really be jackal & hyde) handling many customers who swear not over the phone, but also by email so was pretty puzzled and angered to hear the above, though appreciate it could be taken in the wrong way, whilst wanting to make things better

I've tried keeping a diary and evidence so I can back myself up but what if they don't feel I'm worthy of a formal meeting as I thought it incredibly odd way of approaching any probation meeting as above

I've started to argue back with the immediate team leader but feel it is going to get me in heap of trouble (whilst liking them but there is no respect and I do feel guilty) - and especially don't want to say what convo I've had as their probation was not passed and extended so fear that will spark of even more (I know we've also had chats we probably shouldn't have had) I've now a slight feeling the T/L could be saying I'm not suitable, who knows I would just want the chance to defend myself!!!! one minute it is we're not babysitting you to listen up girl

I recently paid for and completed my own training in customer services, but it shows me there is only so much I can really do - that my employer needs policies in place, we need to know more about the products, same rules must apply to everyone and that everyone needs to pull their weight
I've packed my desk up twice, questioned it but I still keep going back for more :D there must be something about this company that's for sure! I'm just so different to that scared persona at the start of the year who I now don't associate with though we'll keep going over old ground, it's a little concerning at times but do worry at the reaction I'll get if I were to go to a higher level especially with memories of previous work places (not good but improved and showed me why only after which is probably what I'm more narked at!) I just don't know how to overcome without it proper exploding in the wrong way you know get blown far out of proportion - Don't worry I'm seriously considering doing stress management training next!

Though this place did do a psychometric test so they should have known what they were letting themselves in for!! I had CBT just as I started this job but found I was quickly signed off after couple of sessions, perhaps that time of the month is to blame? though I've never liked to use it or ought medical, I am not to sure how that will go down but I've no excuses for myself anymore! :o

    Eh?

What is the actual question here?
Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.
  • It doesn't exist anymore as I now have a meeting arranged so we'll take it from there, I did have a question come up about holiday entitlement as unfortunately would like a week holiday which falls straight after the meeting..well day of, but think I'm going to Google first and look up rights on direct.gov as my employer says 6 weeks notice is required, you clearly have to be degree educated to ask anything further so I won't bother again, guess I was just looking for opinions as feel in a bizarre situation (I do attract them!) but what will be, will be, always can fail to get a holiday I suppose!. I can prove my worth even if others think I go off on a tangent but you know when you get sick of making things better for everyone else oops it really feels like it is a one of them times along with bad timing! Simply to many bad memories that's all! cheers! :)

I think the problem here is that you know your situation inside out and we don't, so can't really relate to it in the way it is written, but good luck getting your holiday time off xx

Thanks yeah I'm determined enough and as I've played by the rules regarding holiday during probation, recrecation is only fair and I've enough life experience behind me not to whinge about stuff anymore that you can vote with by your feet :p
