Amazon Yodel delivery

I've ordered something from Amazon and paid extra for it to arrive tomorrow (one day delivery). Unfortunately the confirmation email says it's being sent with Yodel.

In my experience Yodel have left packages in my garden (squashing plants and left in the rain, because their deliverers are too lazy to give them to my neighbours, who are always in). Alternatively, they have left a note while I'm at work, and just come back to deliver the next day, when I'm also at work.

So, my questions are:

1) Is there any way to now add an instruction to my order to please leave with a neighbour (can't see it on Amazon)?

2) Is there any way to place an order in future specifying not to be delivered by Yodel? I would have been better off with Royal Mail delivery, as at least I could pick it up from the post office on my lunch break the day after it was delivered, faster than the "one day" service I've paid for.

Can you not go back into Amazon and cancel the order, and then re-order it specifying a Royal Mail only delivery? I absolutely detest Yodel, they don't care what is in a package - if it goes over the gate / in the hedge / in the wheelie bin then it's delivered. Their couriers are usually self employed so no delivery - no pay. I have never had any problems at all with RM, even if I have to go to the local delivery office to collect the item at least I know it is safe!

Aw, well. It arrived, in broken packaging, left with a neighbour, so I did get it today. Will try and stick to super saver delivery in future!

Yodel are useless. I also ordered something from another company and was disappointed to hear it would be coming with Yodel.

Next day delivery i paid for and guess what ... it turned up 6 days later. The tracking info said 'a delivery had been attempted' which was not true. I contacted Yodel who said it would be delivered the following day .. surprise surprise it wasn't. So the following day after, the Yodel delivery guy finally arrived and I asked what was going on and his reply was "I had no deliveries in this area all week so I just left it until today! "

    Unbelievable.

i recently had a package delivered by Yodel.
i didn't realise it was going to be until i had the missed delivery card.
that's the last time i order from Tesco.
The day of getting the card, i called up and requested redelivery for the next day. I was told that they would put a note on my order to deliver it first thing in the morning (or as early as possible).
I took the day off work, and ended up calling them several times, 10am, 12pm, 2pm etc. Each time they could not tell me where my package was, or even if it was out on a van for delivery!
Finally, at 7pm the guy turns up.
When i ask why he was so late he tells me there was a note on the system requesting evening delivery - exactly the opposite of what i had requested!!!
