Leicester to Bournemouth by train

Help!!! I've got myself so confused its given me a headache! I'm travelling from Leicester to Bournemouth on 10th July any time but must arrive before 5pm, returning on 12th July, again any time but would prefer morning so I'm not hanging about.

The cheapest tickets I can find are about £75-£80ish. Is there any way I can get this cheaper?

Also most journeys go via London and include a tube journey. I've never done this before and I'm assuming that the price of the ticket includes the tube journey. Is this correct? Also do the train websites actually give you enough time to get across London?

That's it I think. When did buy a train ticket get so complicated?

Yes, and yes usually very generous time allowance.

Returning 12:22 from Bournemouth arrive Leicester 16:24 £29 Advance

Total £58
Any use?

There may be an even cheaper advance if you look at very early/late times

Thank you. £58 is much less than the £101:eek: that I saw when I first looked! I never new the national rail journey planner existed so have bookmarked it for my next journey.

I know you've already booked it but for future reference- I've also gone via Birmingham before which I suspect would be easier than via London and I got a stupidly cheap first class ticket as well
