40th Anniversary Gift

Hello, I am in need of good affordable ideas for a gift/gifts to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary. The couple are going to Italy to celebrate so I could get them something linked to that however all the ideas I have had so far have been uninspired.

Hi....depending on where they are going in Italy is there a particular place/venue/boat trip they wish to visit you could pay the entrance fee for,and this could be part of their memories of the trip...if you can't purchase the tickets before from home,you could make a home made 'voucher', what the gift was which they could keep as part of their memories.0
