Need quick help re off-peak times on London to Bath Spa route

Hi there

I hope someone can help. I need to travel to Bath Spa tomorrow for a meeting. I would like to wander around the town a little after the meeting and so would prefer to not book a definite return time. I looked at the train fares and I think I can get an off-peak return ticket - I have to leave London at 9:30 to get to the meeting on time.

My questions are - is 9:30 still off-peak and what time will I be able to return? I don't want to have to sit in Bath until some unpleasant hour!!

An off peak return (walk on) is £69 and is valid on the 0830 and later trains


There are no restrictions on the same day return journey


There's a cheaper superoffpeak on the 1030 and later trains - no good to you though. Again no return restriction

Thank you SO much! That is brilliant. I was worried that they had an afternoon peak as well, like some of the other operators and that I would have to wait for that to pass.

The Off Peak Return (SVR) Is a regulated fare, and they are not allowed to have restrictions out of Bath in the evening.


Some operators would if they could though!
