Considering appealing Council Tax Band - advice would be much appreciated

Recently (1 month ago) bought a new house. Yay.
Moved within same council, so had new bill through and a credit for the old - but got a bit of a shock with the new bill!
Transpires we are now a "Band G" which is lots of £££!
House was built in 2001 - so after the 1991 valuation period etc.
We're in a cul-de-sac of 4 houses, two of which are Band G and two of which are Band F - all are nominally 6-bedroom.
Mine is the smallest of the 4 - the others all have double garages and substantially larger gardens - mine is almost non-existent.
Purchase price was £360k - which based on nationwide house data appears to extrapolate to a value of £118k in 1991 - or just inside the Band E threshold.
What are opinions on it being worthwhile to challenge the valuation - thinking I should suggest based on the above data that it should be a "Band E" - and then be delighted if they offer "Band F" - or is that too cheeky and should I just try a suggesting that "Band F" is more appropriate than "G".
Thoughts appreciated

I wouldn't "suggest" any banding for the property, the best way is simply to state your case for the banding on your house to be reviewed. If they agree with you, you'll be successful.
You should probably have posted in this thread

which I suggest you read anyway.0 -
A price of £360K in 2014 doesn't suggest a Band G, unless this an artificially low price. Ask for Band E, you will probably be offered Band F, which for a 6 bed isn't unreasonable.
Do read the thread Moneyineptitude has suggested. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
thanks both - advice appreciated and thread read (well some of it anyhow!)
Price was not artificially low - spent the best part of a month being talked up from 340k which is what I really wanted to spend
The other 3 houses may be worth 400-450k - but then they are nicer0
