Hi all
Help needed urgently pls..
Me & b/f are working full time come in with around £2700 a month basic & outgoings amount to £1700... however, we have just been on hols & done home improvements & are both into our overdraft by £1,200 each (ouch!)
We both have 1 credit card each mine = £1,700 his = £3K & a £6,500 loan which was used for car & topped up for misc.
We want to get rid of the overdrafts but I applied for MBNA & Edd Card to clear them & was declined... does anyone have any further advice?
I have been on this website a few years & my outgoings are pretty normal & we try to keep things to a minimum eg. phones, sky etc.
Any advice welcome, thnks

Hi there, and welcome!!
Have a look at Southernscouser's sticky at the top of these posts and see if you can put together an SOA. Post it on here if you feel able and you will find lots of good advice follows!
Also, put your debt details into the nifty little calculator on www.whatsthecost.com and see if this motivates you to get things sorted!
Keep a spending diary of every little thing that you spend over the next few weeks - it will really focus your mind to moneysaving and you can see those areas that you can easily cut back on.
And finally, keep on posting - you will get lots of support on here!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
