Unrealistic Budget - better to DMP or keep trying?

Thank you. I spoke with them and a DMP was suggested. I may well do that, but am a bit fearful. Have read many many threads and posts, have always lived very frugally, the debts have run up through losses of income and buying on credit then using cc's to pay catalogues and their late charges. I know it sounds irresponsible, it's actually understandable given the circumstances. I am not trying to dodge my responsibilities. Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

Hi,
Yeah, I think DMP is the way forward but there is nothing to be fearful of
Peoples circumstances change all the time, I've been repaying my debts by DMP at £500 pcm (just over a third of my income) but I've had to reduce it to £200 due to health issues which have led to a reduction in pay...
Bottom line is that the DMP allows you to repay your debts at a sensible rate while allowing you to breath easy
I think you need to bob over to the DMP Mutual Support page and ask around there... It's a bit of a motley crew but it has old timers and newbies alike all offering support, guidance and information
Nowt to be scared of pickle.

Thank you for your encouragement, guess am afraid of the initial phone calls and letters, can't handle confrontation and conflict. Got confused, thought I had posted on the DMP support thread, will nip over there, cheers. Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

Don't worry about it, once you've got that intitial phase over with, you;ll be a lot happier and you'll probably be able to see the wood, instead of the trees.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
