Hi hope someone can help as I havent got a clue - my daughter clicked on something online and now every time I turn on computer for work or internet I get program cleaning pop ups and lots of others - I've deleted and sent them to the bin but they keep coming back and driving me mad - I loaded google chrome a few weeks ago instead of internet explorer and that's been fine til she clicked on something - I don't think I've got a virus protection as this said no longer supported so can anyone advise of a good free protection program too please
Thanks

Try:

It works for me."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

I think you need to tell us exactly what you have got. Saying you've got "a new internet thingy" is hardly discriptive.
Have you tried installing Ad Blocker?"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Get a teenager round, you clearly need someone who has got a clue about computers to sort you out (I assume your daughter is younger than that). I'd recommend Avast, Malwarebytes, and if you have problems with adverts, then as poppasmurf suggests, Ad Blocker.0

The 3 worst machines that I've had to sort, came from households containing teenagers.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
I keep getting this, not sure how, I am normally very cautious about what I download. What I normally do is run Malwarebites then remove the browser and re-install it.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Download RogueKiller. It will run a pre-scan and when finished press scan and delete all the crap by clicking all the buttons on the right panel except fix shortcuts. That should clear them out.
