FTB, very small gambling transactions on statement..cause for concern?

Thought I'd update this;
Last night/today I received an offer for the full amount from Nationwide, having provided them initially with;
Most recent payslips for me & wife
Two payslips (2013 & 2014) confirming my annual bonus
ID Documents for wife
Bank statement for wife
Then, later, they asked for;
A complete last full months bank statement for me (which has the gambling transactions on and hence the original post)
A couple of days statement for the wife
Fast-forward to yesterday, it seems the statements flew through their review process without question, and the whole application was approved without a hitch.
So, in summary;
I had four transactions, amounting to £60, to PaddyPower and National Lottery
My account balance rose by £400 even in light of this for that month (actually a very heavy month as amongst other things had also spent £200 on a load of jeans to try on before sending all but one pair back and most of it refunded this month!)
Our joint increase for that month was just under £1k, after all normal expenses.
So, it seems Nationwide don't mind the odd bet so long as your account is well managed and shows clear surplus.
Hope this helps to set other peoples minds at rest should they find it frantically googling at 01:30am like I was - but be mindful my situation was probably as "good" as it's going to get when gambling's concerned, i.e low gamble spend and big monthly surplus anyway.0 -
I think the key is clearly account management.
I'm 23, live with parents and applied for a mortgage, they asked for 3 months statements which literally contained hundreds if not thousands of deposits to gambling companies.
However, I never went overdrawn, i always paid any bills etc.
my last up date said I will receive a formal offer subject to valuation.0 -
Well done guys, my Leeds BS was rejected as you know due to gambling. We are hopeful of getting a decision from Nationwide this week who have asked for pretty much the same things as they did you.0

Now, more importantly. Who are you backing in the world cup?0
