Hi,

I am considering getting a debt relief order.

I owe about 7k on credit cards and afurther 2k to my old employer for a wages overpayment.

Can I include the overpaid wages debt on my order?

It's a debt. I don't see why not.


Assuming you meet the other criteria - not a home owner, less than 300 assets, car worth less than 1000, surplus income before debt repayment less than 50 per month, not had one before.


If there is fraud on your part the debt is still collectable.

Yes overpaid wages could be included in a DRO - for info this link list examples of debts that can be included and on the following page list the few types of debt that cannot be included.
