I bought a lovely glass vase from a charity shop, but when I got it home I found there are water scale marks on the glass. I've tried non-abrasive scourers, limescale remover, steradent etc. Any other ideas how I can get the glass sparkling again please?

Coke may be an answer, it can strip copper, so a glass vase should be a piece of cake.
Try overnight xmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Have you tried washing soda + very hot water( put cold in first as you don't want glass to crack! Leave it to steep before rinsing it out. Or try biological washing powder with hot water but I usually use the washing soda( couple of tablespoons should be enough. HTH0

Go to a hardware store (or even £land) for the finest grade wet-and-dry rubbing paper and use wet. Works every time and won't mark up the glass - I live in a hard water area and have had to deal with this a lot.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Vinegar added to warm water and leave overnight.Vinegar works on scaled up kettles so its going to work on your vase.0

Fill with water (not full though),and add rice.Swill the liquid around. This takes off the marks,as shown by Kim and Aggie.0

if you have access to them - ball bearings, shot from a gun cartridge (that tip from The Lady magazine) or Lakelands Magic Balls swilled around with something acidic (vinegar, spirits of salts (careful with that one), cola or descaler).
It might be that the 'scale marks' are some sort of abrasion on the inside of the vase, so you might just make the problem worse. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0
