All lenders have target markets for their products and will set the qualifying criteria accordingly. In doing so they will factor in their regulatory obligations to lend responsibly and assess the borrower for affordability.0

As days advice each lender has their own criteria but Halifax seem to have a reputation for being one of the quicker lenders in making a decision. Quite a few people in here recently have had a decision in under 2 weeks of applying.0
