Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help me. We have a vintage micorbus (original VW campervan with seats) and a friend has asked if my oh would take her daughter and some friends to her prom and he has agreed. I would like to decorate the inside a little to make it extra special for them but have no idea what to do. I had thought of bunting - flags or hearts. Would they be easy to make and would they cost lots for material etc?
Many thanks

I did something similar a while back for a friend - I made the bunting. It was very cheap and very easy. It can be stitched or glued though you'll get a better finish with stitching and access to a sewing machine will speed this up.
I just cut up loads of plain and patterned old clothes, sheets, curtains etc into triangles and stitched them in a random order to bias binding (generally cheaper than ribbon) along the top then folded the binding over and stitched again. I didn't bother finishing the edges of the triangles although you could hem or pink them if you wanted to.
The mish mash of different fabrics gave a nice vintage look which would suit your van.Don’t try to keep up with the Jones’s. They are broke!0
