Hi,
Firstly don't be intimidated by there letters and calls, you can make them a reasonable offer of whatever you can afford, even if its just £1 per month, if you have no income, tell them, they cant take what you don't have, if you really cant afford anything, tell them so, have you just lost your job/redundancy ?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I would not worry too much about it, the debt will go to a debt collection agency eventually, whoever writes to you, simply respond, in writing, stating your situation, and weather or not you can afford to make any kind of payment, they have a "duty of care" to vulnerable people, so its important you make them aware of your situation, if you need any further help, contact the CAB or similar free organisations, I wish you luck.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi,
I've also cancelled my Vodafone contract. My balance was just under £500. Vodafone informed me they have two debt collection agencies.
Mine was passed to Frederick sons international who added on an £80 fee and won't accept lower than £20 a month.
Fingers crossed you have better luck.0 -

Its YOUR money - YOU tell THEM what YOU can pay. Not the other way round!
If they refuse, ask them to put their refusal in writing.0
