Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
I am in a bad predicament with work.
The story -
I am having ongoing issues at work. After nearly 4 years of 7 with my employer I finally went into melt down and had to take off on sick leave. I was off for a total of 3 months. During that time no one from work contacted me and my condition got worse as a result. My work and my unions excuse was that it was Christmas time.
Anyway, a meeting was finally agreed with HR. Everything went la de da and by the end of February I was back at work. HR promised me that they would talk to managers and issues would be properly resolved. After the meeting with HR I had a meeting with managers and things were agreed and including arrangement of a workstation assessment, proper seating and my annual leave entitlement.
3 months on and I am back in the same position with some of the same issues and again I am forced to take off work on sick. Not all of the issues have been dealt with and HR have modified meeting minutes so that I will not receive my 20 days annual leave that I was unable to take last year and there are two other items missing.
The meeting minutes had been modified 2 and a half months after they were created. No one including managers and myself were told about any modifications.
I confirmed the minutes have been modified because I have since obtained a copy of the original.
I have accumulated 3 months sick with the possibility of it going on for another 3+ months. I am on high medication to deal with my anxiety and depression caused by my employer.
So now I no longer have any faith in my employer. I don’t trust my union. I believe HR have manipulated things that have been said and agreed to and that they have lead me under false pretenses to get me back in work.
I am seeking a new job to try and keep my cogs running but it is very hard because I feel miserable and extremely angry. To top it off I am very concerned than no one will want to employ me because of the recent sick leave and my medication.
I truly hope it doesn't come to this but it seems to be my works policy to deceive employees.
I would like to know:
Can creditors seize presents given to family purchased with a loan several months ago?
Can creditors charge as much interest as they want on debts that cannot be paid?
:mad::(:mad:

Unless on some sort of HP where they are allowed to reclaim items, no they cannot claim or seize them.
Creditors can only charge interest up to what the contact with them allows. Also, depending on what the company has signed up to, many trade association or lending rules require that creditors either suspend interest for those in financial difficulty or must consider doing so, so that someone's debt does not increas in a fashion that means it will never be repaid.
