OnePoll Trick

I've used OnePoll successfully for years. I'm sure you all know about it. But the last few times I've approached £40, I've noticed that the surveys coincidentally dry up.

Turns out, it can't be coincidental at all. I just did a bit of an experiment.

My total stood at £39.70, right? I logged in and saw four surveys to take at 15p each, six to take at 10p each and two to take at 5p each. "Lovely", I thought. I'll smash my total.

So I took one of the 15p surveys and completed it.

My total then stood at £39.85. So I looked for the next 15p survey to get to my goal... only all of the remaining three 15p surveys had disappeared. "Bit odd", I thought. All surveys remaining to take me to my total had gone.

So I did a 10p survey and completed it.

My total then stood at £39.95. "Now, I'll just choose any other survey...", I thought.

Only... every single one had gone. The three remaining 15p ones had disappeared earlier, then the five 10p and two 5p surveys had all disappeared in one go.

It was very clear that the crucial surveys which would take me to my cashout limit disappeared at the very crucial time.

Now I'm not too worried, because I've cashed out several times before. It's just annoying, because this cannot be a coincidence. I will now have to wait a long time, no doubt, for a survey to become available so that I can claim my £40!

Has anyone else noticed the surveys drying up at a crucial time? Last time I would see dozens of surveys every day - except when I was on £39.95 and I had to wait around two weeks for a single survey.

I've had a similar thing many times myself but not just close to cashout. I have seen surveys totalling 2 or 3 pounds available and after I've done a few the rest have vanished.


It seems it will only allow you to earn so much per day.


The good news is though I've finally received my long awaited £40.


Not even close to the 28 days promised but at least it's turned up.

This is very common, when pressed before they advised me that this was for security and within 72 hours I would see surveys again, which I did.

I then waited the now common 5-6 weeks for my cashout to arrive.

Good luck getting to £40, sure you will do it soon

Interesting that you pressed them for an answer. I wonder what they mean by security. Oh well, only another two days to wait, then..!

I'm nosy like that I think they meant that they could check peoples accounts make sure their answers matched their profiles or whatever

I don't think it has anything to do with security, it's about cash flow.

In the beginning when they had few members they used to pay immediately. But they probably didn't get paid for the surveys done until the following month. Or more likely 30 days after the end of the month the surveys were completed in.

They must have had a float to pay the members before they got paid. But as the number of members has grow the float isn't big enough. So many members have to wait 4-6 weeks to be paid, by which time onepoll have received another payment.

Even that is not enough, so they have to delay some members from cashing out so their payment can come out of the month after next months payment.

This is why, when you ask about your late payment they always reply "we are awaiting a paypal payment", which basically means "we don't have enough money to pay you, so you'll have to wait until we get next months payment".

This has happened to me every time I've approached the £40 mark, without fail. When I asked them, their reply was "We check random accounts to make sure it is not a robot" !! I'm not quite sure how removing surveys means you're not a robot, and it's not exactly random - happens to me every time, and most other members as well, judging from the comments on their Facebook page.

I've even tried opening multiple surveys in multiple tabs - but then the one that would take you over the £40 threshold is mysteriously "full" when you hit the last question.

Pretty underhand tactics, I reckon, but they do eventually let you get to £40, and they do eventually pay - though usually not within the 28 days they promise.

It happens to me every time !! I don't mind though because they are still my best paying survey site and the surveys are quick and relatively painless .
I always get paid into a bank account and it comes much quicker than my sons paypal payment.

Interesting that you consider them to be the best paying survey site. They're not for me - I make money far quicker with Swagbucks! In fact, I'd probably put a few sites before OnePoll for the amount I get and the frequency I can redeem it.

Yes... I realise this. I was implying that they thought that in their opinion and was interested because this is not the case for me.
