Oh No! Mortgages PLC anyone with them?

It's the end of the month and we need to phone to discuss/pay the mortgage. I phoned at 17:03 today (Friday) to be taken through security and verified, then the automatic system told me the office is now closed, that it's open 08:30 - 17:00 and they look forward to speaking with me tomorrow.
The last letter we received from them, dated 8th May this year, had the usual times shown as 08:30 - 20:30 Mon-Fri.
I tried twice to make sure I heard correctly the first time!
Is anyone else with them? Have you received any details to say their opening hours have changed? It's left us really in a bad situation now, with no ability to speak with them until Monday. I will try tomorrow but suspect they'll be closed.
NOT happy! Surely we should have had notice of their hours changing?

I cant really answer your question but why would you not put it on DD?
Leaving your mortgage payment until 3 hours before the cut off point, pretty risky. If something did go wrong/crop up (like this for example) it can show as arrears on your mortgage.
Do you have their account number/sort code? Can you do an internet transfer?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Does it make a difference? If they're closed, nothing's going to happen until Monday anyway, surely?0 -
and they look forward to speaking with me tomorrow.

You could have probably paid it via faster payments. Maybe you still can.
either way, contact them today, or Monday, pay it and set up a direct debit.
I am not even sure if a few days delay counts as a proper 'late payment' anyway for a mortgage.0
