Hi All
Have been looking at new build developments (Lagan Homes) and was wondering has anyone asked for a discount on the asking price for a new build?
If so what is a reasonable amount to ask for based on a Semi detached 3 Bedroom House priced at £139'500

If they're otherwise able to sell them - and most developments are up and running again now - why would they discount it for you?
If they discount for you then everyone they previously didnt discount to on the site is up in arms and anyone coming along subsequently will ask for a discount too.
You could try - but i dont think you'll get far.0 -
Unless it is a development attracting no buyers (very few now) I think you have missed the discount boat too.0
-
The reason they're building homes is because they're selling again (is it Millmount?). They'll likely tell you to buy one now before they put the prices up - that's your discount!0
-
You're better off asking for free extras... depending on the current progression of the build think about: A shower over the bath, flooring fitted, garden turfed/stoned, extra electric sockets, additional TV sockets, built in wardrobes, curtain poles fitted, stamp duty paid, legals paid ....0

Yes it was the Millmount Development.
No harm in asking can always see what if any extras they might include!0 -
We asked if there was any negotiation on the price on the development in Coopers Mill in Dundonald and it was a very definite no!0
