When is first mortgage payment due Halifax

Hey everyone! We are hoping to complete on our Halifax mortgage on 26th or 27th June. Our broker requested our monthly payments to be on the 3rd of every month as it suits mine and my partner's pay days. Will our first payment be 3rd July or is it likely to be 3rd of August?

I also read that Halifax will charge the interest from completion to end of month 14 days after completion. I know a lot of people will say phone Halifax and ask but I really just wanted to check on here first as I know a lot of you are brokers and have loads of experience!

It breaks down the first payment in your mortgage offer ours says that the first month's payment is taken the month after we complete on our requested date unless there are less than 4 working days between that and our completion date, in which case it will be the 10th of that month. If you complete on the 26th, I would say you would probably be looking at 3rd July, otherwise it'll be the 10th. That's my understanding anyway, but do check your offer as it will make a bit more sense than I do!
