Can I swap mine and my hubby's name over on the mortgage as I am younger

I want to know is it possible to swap mine and my hubby's name over on the mortgage as I am younger than my hubby...we are currently on an interest only mortgage and owe 165,000 and only have 12 years left on the mortgage...if I swap to me first we would have 17 years left.

Thanks and really fed up

Both of us have loans that will finish in 4years:mad:

    It goes off the eldest persons age on the mortgage, not the first name on the application.

    Also you would have to apply to extend the term, in the current climate getting an interest only mortgage (or changing your existing I/O mortgage) is pretty difficult. It would not be done automatically.
