Blackhorse (Nolan Solicitors)
Please could someone give me a bit of advise;
Basically back in 2011 I handed my car back to Blackhorse finance due to split from my wife and not having enough money to pay for the vehicle. I called Blackhorse and advised them to uplift car. No debt was advised and nothing was received to sign. Anyway they picked up the car leaving a bit of damage to the driveway. Blackhorse were contacted but I got no response (cost me money in time and labour to repair). I did not receive any paperwork or debt advise from Blackhorse at all.
The next thing I know is that I'm getting letters from Nolans solicitors demanding payment. I requested copy of Blackhorses statements along with a copy of the original credit agreement signed at the dealership and any other paperwork dealing with this alleged debt.
I received the paperwork as requested but there was a form for returning the vehicle that seems to have a signature on it that is not mine, also the agreement numbers do not match from the original form to the return form. I advised Nolans regarding this but they are still wanting payment.
Could anyone suggest my next move. All correspondence is in emails to them and I have never acknowledged this as my debt.
Please help!

Did they send you the original agreement? And does the debt they are now chasing reflect the difference between the original debt and the subsequent payments/return of car?0

Hi ZX81 - sorry for delay getting back but was away a few days.
The did send the original agreement. They say I have something to pay (basically what was left on the agreement minus deduction after selling vehicle). There is nothing else except a forged signature on the return agreement. Also the collection company is offering me a reduced amount to pay (over £1500 off). Takes me down to just of £2,300. Is this a sign that there may be an issue chasing me and they are trying to get some money quick?0 -

By your calculations how much do you think that you still owe them for early termination of the agreement?"We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -
I'm not sure on that one - when I handed back the car there was no figures spoken about in fact the person was very vague on the who matter (trying to remember as it was over 3 years ago). I'll have to check on that one and get back to you. The problem was I had moved address. Blackhorse were advised of this but I had no letters from them at all. They even picked the car up from the new address but no letters just a phone call I made to them and a call from the collection company to advise when they would be there.
Suffering from a lack of information here.0 -
how far into the agreement were you / total periodDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
